Mrs. Suganthini
Mrs. Suganthini lives in Kilinochchi and is the mother of two daughters. Her husband works in construction and earns only a very low daily wage. During the civil war, she lost her parents. In 2009, she was seriously injured in a bomb attack, but through great strength and hope, she found new purpose. She founded the company Live Green, where she sells healthy grains and a product called “Champions Coffee.”

Mrs. Sasikala
In 2009, during the civil war, Mrs. Sasikala was pregnant. She lost her husband and her right foot. She gave birth to a daughter, and her second child—a son—was born under extremely difficult circumstances. Since birth, he has lived with a severe disability and is now 16 years old. He is completely dependent on his mother, who cares for him full-time. As a result, she cannot work outside the home. Nevertheless, she found the courage to start her own company, Kannaki Industries, where she plans to produce curry spices, dried chilies, and other products.

With financial support, she could further expand her business and secure a better future for her family.
